My name is Natalie Mayo and I am a senior journalism and mass communication and political science student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  I am maintaining this blog as an assignment for my online news writing skills class.  As a resident of Chapel Hill for four years, I have grown to love the local flare and businesses in the area, especially those on Franklin Street.  As an employee of one Franklin Street boutique, I have personally witnessed the struggles merchants face on Franklin Street.  I hope this site will update you on what’s new to Franklin Street while also giving each of you an appreciation for the men and women who serve you so well and so conveniently in our beloved downtown Chapel Hill.
